PHS CLASS OF 1981 UPDATE DEATH OF TAMI (ACKLING) BOYER'S HUSBAND, TONY BOYER It is with heavy heart that I share with you that Tony Boyer, husband of classmate Tami (Ackling) Boyer passed from this Life on Sunday, March 1, in his home. Tami and Tony have bravely faced Tony's progression with Parkinson's disease over the past several years. Please extend your prayers for strength and peace to Tami and her family. Visitation will be held on this Tuesday from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at the West Funeral Home ( 226 4th Avenue West, West Fargo, ND). A prayer service will follow at 7:00 pm in the same location, celebrating Tony and his new life in Heaven. A graveside service will be held on this Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at 11:oo am at the Lakeside Cemetery in Frazee, MN. Below is the complete obituary posting on the West Funeral Home website. Peace, Lee Hoedl ------------------------------------------- On March 1, 2009, Anthony Maxime Edward Boyer left his earthly home to enter into the Lord’s heavenly kingdom. Tony was born on January 14, 1948 to Maxime and Mildred (Sorenson) Boyer in St. Paul, MN. Tony attended school in St. Paul, graduating from North High School in 1966. At the age of 20, Tony proudly began serving his country in the United States Army. He served in Vietnam from September 1968 to September 1969. On May 1, 1970, he was honorably discharged. Car and engines were Tony’s hobby and livelihood. He was employed by the trucking industry for many years. On October 19, 1991, Tony married Tami Ackling at Bible Baptist Church in Fargo, ND. They resided in West Fargo and Perham, MN. Summer months were spent at Wilo-Wood Resort on Rush Lake, MN, enjoying time with friends and family. Those left to treasure his many memories are his beloved wife, Tami; daughter, Brittany; son, Andy, all of West Fargo, ND; brother, Frank (Ellen), Northome, MN; sisters, Margie Cook, Minneapolis, MN, Jan (Tom) Pedginski, Pine City, MN. He will also be missed by his father and mother-in-law, Doug and Joan Ackling, Perham, MN and many nephews and nieces. A visitation on Tuesday from 5 to 7 with a prayer service at 7 in West Funeral Home, West Fargo, ND, will be held celebrating Tony and his new life in heaven. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at 11 in the Lakeside Cemetery, Frazee, MN.
