Hope all is well with you, look forward to the 30 year class reunion.

I'll just throw a thought out there for everyone to consider; that is I have 45 acres on Ottertail river (near the old "Red Hut" or old "Barnyard School") on county road #1. It does not have any facilities yet, but I hope to get electric out there this summer. You can walk down into the river; there has been sand added and a small dock. Perhaps we could contact some local Perham-ites and ask that they bring their gas grills. Find someplace to rent/loan a large Army tent and have a get together with the option of camping over after a night of fun, fellowship and/or drinking adult beverages. For one afternoon or night that won't not cost a lot; it could work. Let me know what you think :)

Hi! I couldnt make it to the reunion, hope eveyone had a blast! it doesnt look like anyone has aged since school!(whats up with that?!!!!) my husband Rick and I live in rural Frazee, we run two Group homes for the mentaly handicapped, one in D. L. and one outside of Frazee, (14901 Co. Hwy 29). 06.08.06 - Deb (Van Watermulen) Palubicki notifies the Class of 1981:

"New things in my life? On 11-15-04, I started working at Productive Alternatives in Perham. I am a Program Assistant working with developmentally disabled adults. I love it! It's very rewarding.

We've had a chance to travel some. Jan. '05, our daughter Ashley, my sister, and our mom and myself went on a trip to Maui, Hawaii. It was a blast! My husband Jeff and our son Tony, my dad and 2 brothers in Aug. of '05 went on a fishing trip to Alaska. They also enjoyed themselves alot.

We still own and operate a dairy farm and have about 100 head of beef cows... plus many many more animals."

03.31.06 - Gayle Smalley-Rader notifies the Class of 1981:

"I'm still working for the Lakeville School District since shortly after our last reunion. I NEVER thought I'd step foot in school again, and I absolutely love my second life here. You can fit the entire population of Perham in our high school. My family is gone from Perham, but we enjoy coming back for weekends on Little Pine now and sharing time with life long friends from PHS."

03.31.06 - Sue (Delaney) Jones notifies the Class of 1981:

"I missed everyone at the 2001 reunion as I was watching my son Scott wrestle in the Greco Junior National tournament. He is now 22 years old and has a beautiful daughter named Isabella (Belle), which makes me a GRANDMA! I love our little Belle, and don’t mind being her “Mum-mum” at all! She’ll be two in May. Scott is working at BTD in Detroit Lakes and is thinking of going back to school for something; he’s still deciding. My daughter, Mary, is a Radiology student at NDSU and her husband Kelly Janke is a Construction Management student at University of Minnesota Moorhead on a wrestling scholarship. My step sons Jordan (13) and Tyler (11) are also into wrestling, so wrestling is still a huge part of our lives. Honestly, I could use a break from that! It gets to be a lot of running and my old bones don’t take the bleachers like they used to! I’m still teaching in Perham at Prairie Wind and its fun to get to know the children of so many of my classmates! I teach Computer Applications and Writing. I got my Masters degree in 2004, and picked up my drumsticks again to join the community orchestra. I enjoy our musicals immensely and strongly urge anyone who hasn’t seen a Perham musical to come and watch. The talent in our town is amazing! My husband is working for Hormel/Jennie-O Turkey store managing their feed mills in Perham and Henning. He is also an assistant chief on the Perham Fire Department. We built a house outside of Perham and it seems to keep growing. We are into camping, snowmobiling, motorcycling, 4-wheelers, and I love my bicycle too! So the latest addition was a big garage for all of the toys. I look forward to attending the 2006 reunion."

"I did get into a new career. Digital cameras, Wal-Mart and ink jet printers have altered the world of photography to the point that few can make a living at it anymore. I am now a HVAC heating and air conditioning technician. I am working for a plumbing and heating business in Barnesville and spending time at the lake in Perham on the weekends."

01.14.06 - Lee (Leo) Hoedl notifies the Class of 1981:

"By now, you've received your recent newsletter for the 2006 Class of 1981 Reunion. I enjoy maintaining and advancing our class website, while also working freelance in web development/video production. Since our last reunion, our family has experienced the arrival of three new members (in 2003) - shown below left: Hannah, Nicholas and Emily. The photo on the right also includes our eight-year-old son Leo.

Since the arrival of our triplets, I have taken a sabbatical from my professional career and am humbly serving as a stay-at-home father. What a blast and honor! Finally, in addition to this wonderful opportunity, I have been blessed with the opportunity to experience some high-altitude climbing (Mt. Whitney in 2004, Mt. Rainier in 2005) and publishing a number of magazine articles, Nature photography and a children's book for parents, entitled I Have Just The Gift For You. My publisher is planning to launch my next book, JESSE: The Wait of the Wood, early this summer.

It must be turning the corner into my 40s, but I have rediscovered distance running, cycling and triathlons. I find that 4:30 am is the best time of the day (taking into consideration the triplets' schedule) to do my training in our lower level, on my treadmill and cycle trainer. I will be running with a team of 5 colleagues in the Wild Miles Relay in California and running my first full marathon in May. I also plan on competing in a number of triathlons and road races this summer, and possibly the North Dakota state olympics, the Prairie Rose Games. It just so happens these Games will occur this year during the weekend of our reunion, so I may not see you all until 2011. Either way, I always look forward to hearing from you and staying in touch!

The rest of my family is doing well. Di travels about 40% of the week and that leaves me at home with all four children. Leo is in 2nd grade and soon - already - to outgrow me in height. The triplets passed their 2nd birthday and Nicholas is quickly finding out he's outnumbered by Emily and Hannah.

"In the last five years my son Joseph (5) has grown a lot and now helps me in my shop. I've had fun with some hobbies: gold panning, co-ho salmon fishing on Lake Michigan and making solar cell panels to make electricity for our home. I still work at Delphi Auto in Advanced Development for side-impact airbags. I'm currently building a 1200 sq. ft. house addition (since March 2004). Ellen and I are looking forward to seeing everyone."

"I'm working as an attorney for MCI in Denver. I've been in Denver for 20 years now! Things are good. I'm married and have two biological kids and two stepkids. I haven't made it to a reunion yet. I plan to make it this summer. Look forward to seeing you this summer!"

"We traveled to Ukraine in November-December 2004 and adopted a 23-month old boy. We named him Samuel Vitaly. He will be three years old on January 18th. Our oldest son, Jacob is 7 years old. Gregg's business Bear Track Products, Inc. continues to prosper and I still work for Great Plains Natural Gas Co. Our mailing address, phone and email remain the same."

"My daughter, Claire, is in her second year at Northern State University in Aberdeen, SD, attending on a basketball scholarship. The big question - where in the world did she get her basketball abilities? Not from her mommy. We spend December through mid-March on the road following the NSU Wolves all over the mid-west. High gas prices stink. I am so looking forward to our reunion."

"Brian and I built a new house in Cologne, MN and moved in January of 2004. It is a small town but still close to the cities that we can go shopping and visiting. I started a new job in Chaska in January of this year. I am now a Teller Supervisor/Personal Banker at a small community bank by the name of Security Bank. I really like my job and am glad that I don’t have to commute to Plymouth everyday. I went from an hour commute each way to a fifteen minute commute each way. It is a real relaxing drive and I hardly have any traffic. The only accident I might have is either a deer crossing the road or perhaps a cow that might have escaped from the many farms that I drive by each day. The kids are getting so big now. Andrew is now 11, Dani is 9, Will is 7 and Steven just turned 5. They will all be in school this next fall. Steven will be going to all day kindergarten so it will be nice for Brian."

" What's new? ? ? I'm getting old and hate it! We survived the four Florida hurricanes and I can say I would rather survive a Minnesota blizzard. I started a new job this year as a Media Resources Specialist with the South Florida Water Management District."

"Jill and I are married now and live in Barnesville, MN. I am working for Konica Minolta but hope to find another job soon. Jill works as the Occupational Therapy Supervisor at Prairie at St. Johns in Fargo."
