PTO APPROVAL OF COMMITTEE FINAL PHASE II PROPOSAL

During the April meeting of the Nativity PTO Board (04.17.10), the Nativity Renovation Committee final proposal, regarding Phase II, was approved to continue through installation.

POSTPONEMENT OF PHASE II INSTALLATION

Simultaneously, A Message from Bishop Samuel Aquila was shared with the Fargo Diocese that outlined the "discontinuation of the seminary program and considerations regarding use of the seminary facility" and "a complete review of all metro area parish and Catholic school properties."

Due to the directives within this document, installation of the Phase II component of the Nativity Playground Renovation Project is officially postponed, pending the conclusion of a complete diocesan review of all metropolitan area parish and Catholic school properties, as outlined and directed in A Message from Bishop Samuel Aquila.

The review is slated to begin June 2010 and be completed within one year. At that time, the Nativity Playground Renovation Committee will commence with its plan to install Phase II of the Nativity Playground Renovation during the summer of 2011.

CONTINUED PHASE II FUNDRAISING

With the directed postponement of the Phase II installation, the Nativity Playground Renovation Committee will redirect its efforts to offset the overall cost (approximately $40,000 - $45,000) through targeted fundraising efforts.

The Nativity Playground Renovation Committee is scheduled to meet in May-June of 2010 to begin strategic fundraising efforts.
